Hollywood casting of Vincent de Paul: the winner has been announced

Victor Natus' dream of a film career in Hollywood could soon come true. He won a supporting role in the open casting of Hollywood star Vincent de Paul.

Around 200 candidates attended the open casting of Hollywood star Vincent de Paul in the Trier Gallery. The casting was for nothing less than a supporting role in his new adventure film, which is soon to be produced in America.

Victor Natus completed his acting studies in New York, where he lived for another five years after successfully graduating from the renowned New York Film Academy.

The coronavirus pandemic then forced him to return to Germany, where he has been working as an actor ever since.

The experience he had previously gained as an actor in New York had a lasting impact on his work. Because the acting world in America is very different from the German one. “The enthusiasm to simply do certain things is simply greater in America,” says Victor Natus. “I think in Germany we simply inhibit ourselves from being a little more willing to take risks sometimes.” These differences are particularly noticeable in film culture, says Victor Natus. Perhaps that is why he is looking forward to his new role in Baltimore.

In America, Victor Natus has made appearances at the New York Film Festival, among others. Back in Germany, he filmed for the series Funeral For A Dog, which can be seen on Sky Germany. He also played the lead role in the off-Broadway play “Dog sees God”, which he co-produced with his Brooklyn-based production company Oneiros Collective.

At the end of a long casting day in Trier, the choice fell on Victor Natus, who traveled from Hamburg especially for the casting. However, he is no stranger to the city on the Moselle, where he has family roots and where his father Frank Natus runs a successful company. The form of an open casting, as it took place in the Trier-Galerie, was a completely new experience for Victor Natus. “But it was still very interesting for me because it tests my ability to function under pressure”. The result shows exactly how well this worked.

Even if the role of an art dealer is only a supporting role, Victor Natus sees it as an opportunity to network further in the dream world of Hollywood and to work with lots of interesting people.
